Lake Erie Volleyball Association (LEVA) was founded in 2010 to offer LGBTQ and Allies the opportunity to engage in amateur volleyball, and to continue the traditions of the previous leagues that played before us.

The Lake Erie Volleyball Association Board is dedicated to fulfilling the interests of the membership. The Board overwhelmingly expects each member to exude the highest level of conduct, embrace diversity through understanding and inclusion, and demonstrate sensitivity and compassion to serious issues facing the LGBTQ community and our membership.

Our goal is to provide opportunities for everyone to play and learn volleyball. Whether you are a recreational beginner or an experienced player, we aim to bring our community together.

Lake Erie Volleyball has two ten-week sessions, one beginning in September after Labor Day and concluding before Thanksgiving. And another session starting in January after New Year's and concluding in March.

Also, the Lake Erie Volleyball hosts the annual Lake Erie Classic NAGVA tournament, featuring teams from across the country for a 2-day weekend. Teams come in from Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati, Chicago, Milwaukee, Lexington, and beyond at the end of every April. The 2026 tournament will be the 12th edition of the Lake Erie Classic.
